Though, Nightlife is not so popular in India, it is very much accepted in Goa, which bears much of the Portuguese culture and tradition. Nightlife in Goa is exciting and there are many ways to spark up the evening.
Goans enjoy going out and it is not unusual to find families out for a night of merriment. In certain areas, almost every third house has a bar-cum-restaurant. The atmosphere is great - totally relaxing and extremely conducive to an enjoyable night out with friends and family.

Most of the places serve exquisite seafood and other Goan delicacies and have well stocked bars. One can start the day with the breakfast in a shack then splash in the waters the whole day or just laze on the beach and return to one's hotel late in the evening. Some shacks are well equipped with beach beds, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, masseurs, etc. These places also provide some information about the happenings around the locality. Though alcohol is easily available in Goa, which is a liberal state, there are strict laws against drunken driving, taking drugs, etc. But with world famous seafood, music and a local alcoholic drink, Fenny, whose fame has crossed all borders, Goa remains one of a kind of place where tired souls often come to drown in the music and dance their worries away.

In south Goa, nightclubs are mainly limited to the five-star resort hotels, almost all of which have their own discos, bars and sometimes gaming rooms. As you'd expect, these are mostly patronized by hotel guests - wealthy Indian and foreign tourists - but they're open to any reasonably dressed guest. The Leela Palace and Holiday Inn Resort in Mobor, and the Goa Renaissance Resort and Club Mahindra in Varca are worth checking out, if you're staying nearby.
