Nights in Paradise - Ko Phi Phi

Phi Phi is paradise on earth, its sapphire waters kiss the azure skies while in the embrace of silvery sand beaches garbed in feathery green vegetation. But all this tropical beauty gives way to an urban jungle celebration at night as the nightlife of Ko Phi Phi comes alive.

The nightlife in Phi Phi Island provides an exciting range of activities with lots of clubs and bars joining up the entertainment scene. The Island throbs with all types of music - reggae, hip hop, soul and (of course) plenty of dance music too.

However, if clubs and bars are not part of your nightlife enjoyment program, then Phi Phi Island has other nighttime activities that are intended to make your evening special. They include incredible fire shows on the beach that include fire twirlers who toss and spin balls of fire through the pitch black of night. Nightly activities also include cabaret nights and Muay Thai kick boxing shows. The Phi Phi Island performers are professionals and take their crafts very seriously, so please show your appreciation by offering tips after the performance.

Since Phi Phi Don is the only truly inhibited Phi Phi Island; as expected, all of the nightlife is here only There are plenty of independent inns and restaurants that have on offer mouthwatering cuisine including Mama Resto for fish and fabulous eclectic music; Le Grand Blue near the pier, for French and Thai cuisine; the Phi Phi Cabana Hotel restaurant and the wild and popular Jungle Bar. Fatties Fare consists of superb northern European food and HC Andersens is known for its Scandinavian fare and succulent steaks.

The best of nightlife on Phi Phi Island is thriving at the popular Reggae Bar Complex - Phi Phi Island's biggest night spot. It has five bars, pool tables and Thai boxing three nights a week. Swedish tourists on Phi Phi Island love the nightlife at Carlitos - as do most Europeans. Nightlife would not be nightlife in Phi Phi Island without the sultry jazz resonating from JJ Vegetarian Café, and the nightlife can include kids at Phi Phi Island's Beach Club that has non-alcoholic drinks served right on the beach in an atmosphere that is perfect for children.

Nightlife at Phi Phi is truly on the beach on Phi Phi Island, especially along the bay at the Karma Bar - where tourists can lie back, enjoy serene music on mats laid out on silky beach sand. What could make for a better nightlife than warm breezes blowing in from the Phi Phi Island shores, a glass of wine and a sky filled with brilliant stars? Nightlife is close to paradise on Phi Phi Island.

Ko Samui – Tropical Nights

Ko Samui in Thailand is known for its vigorous nightlife. There are a large number of discos, pubs and nightclubs, which obviously highlights the vibrant nightlife in Ko Samui.

As the sun sets in the evening, the many nightclubs, lounges, pubs and discos light up dazzlingly to draw the partygoers of the city. Both the young and the old love to visit these places in order to have fun and enjoyment. Every night you can get to see the people done up in the most sparkling outfits crowding these pubs and nightclubs. Most of the nightclubs and pubs are situated in the innumerable beaches of the island like Chewang Beach, Bophut Beach, Maenam Beach, Big Buddha Beach and others.

Nightlife in Ko Samui means paying a visit to the several discos and nightclubs of the city. Here you can dance to the popular jazz, hip-hop, soul, or reggae music played out by the DJ's. Most of the nightclubs of the island open at 10 p.m. in the night and remain open till the wee hours of the morning. Here you can also get to see cabaret performances. Large number of local artists performs here. Some of the popular bars that are worth trying out include The PFC Bar and the Sweet and Soul Café.

Chiang Rai – the old party animal

Chiang Rai is the old capital of the kings of Thailand. But despite a history going back centuries today's Chiang Rai is a pretty cosmopolitan place. Chiang Rai is a small city so of course it is not in the same league as Bangkok or even Chiang Mai for night life. However, there are still lots of places to go out, to see and to be seen. The most convenient is the Night Bazaar. There are a few quiet pubs and vibrant beer bars here. With the night market starting around 8 pm, the area comes alive with tribal vendors, musicians, transgender singing groups, etc. It is a good place to shop, eat and drink and walk around.

A recently popular hangout with the young hip crowd is at Sohub, on the corner of Sanambin and Banphaprakan roads.  The other lively place until about 11 pm is Chiang Rai Beach. You'll need some form of transportation to get there as it about 8 km from the city but it is considered "romantic" and one of the few places where you might just see Thai people kissing in public.

The go-go bars are limited to a small strip near the Wang Come Hotel, off Jetyod Rd., near the clock tower. Girls trying to drag you inside indicate you have found it.

A couple of places you might want to try to get off the tourist circuit are Sabun Nga, Be Fine and Bai Bon.   Finally, for romantic dining, go north on the superhighway. Just as you are approaching the bridge to go over the Maekok River, exit to the left and do a U-turn under the bridge. Take your first left and you will find a group of restaurants overlooking the river. Take your pick!

The Soul of the Nightlife – Chiang Mai

Although Chiang Mai through the years has earned epithets that make it seem like a tame old place with no nightly excitement to offer, it is merely a misconception among people who are not aware of the true spirit of the place. Chiang Mai's nightlife is simply spectacular because its dynamic nightclubs add great charm to it. These nightclubs range from those easy-on-pocket clubs to the very extravagant ones. Be it lounge, pub, bars, cabaret clubs, discotheques… Chiang Mai has everything to lure you away from this world.

All of these nightclubs in Chiang Mai have great attractions stored in for the visitors. If some host karaoke nights, the others have comedy shows. From cabaret to blues, jazz and rock ….. The nightclubs of Chiang Mai never fail to impress.

There are the customary Irish bars, namely O'Malley's and The Irish Pub. As also bars in and around the night market. The most up market bar is in the D2 hotel and called The Mix, it is very much a meeting place for the socialites of Chiang Mai, and foreigners.

For the bars where you might meet a Thai lady, or want to watch some go-go dancing,, then Loy Kroh Rd is the place to be. There is an arcade of go-go bars near the Imperial Mae Ping Hotel where you will receive a hospitable "welcome".

Bubbles discotheque is an exciting place for a night out in Chiang Mai. The music played in this discotheque is great that makes everyone to kick up his or her heels and party hard. This hangout is also a prevalent hotspot among the gays.

Being Chiang Mai's best cabaret club the Blue Moon Cabaret is one of the best nightclubs in Chiang Mai. Full of colors, liveliness and great excitement, the Blue Moon is also the most visited cabaret clubs around Chiang Mai. With superb song and dance extravaganza, this place attracts a lot of tourists and visitors. The milieu of this nightclub is very pleasant and also is very tourist friendly.

Warm nights in Bali

Bali nights are warm, exciting and interesting. After dusk everyone goes the pubs and bars of Bali to seeking recreation. People revel in the nightlife of Bali with drinks and dancing to the lively music played in the bars.

Midnight is the time when Bali comes to life and rocks like there's no tomorrow. The Kuta, Legian and Seminyak quarters on the island is where the major chunk of Bali's night life exists. It is a special atmosphere at this time of the night. Many visitors marvel where hosts of expatriates descend from at around 1:00 in the morning. All nightclubs are generally chock-a-block and if some club is unusually quiet then in all probability a party is going on in one of the neighboring ones.

Dress codes for nightlife are do not exist. Most people go light as far as dressing is concerned. This includes shorts and a T-Shirt almost certainly bought at one of the local markets. No fancy evening wear is needed to blend in.

During the day, every night club hands a flyer to revelers highlighting the night's and at times even the week's entertainment lined up for customers. Bali has a countless number of options, from candle-lit romantic dinners and sedate tropical lounges to lively theme pubs and nightclubs roaring all night long.

Some famous night clubs and pubs to be checked out in the area are:

Hard Rock Cafe- This cafe is situated right on Kuta beach with regular live bands.

Hard Rock Hotel- This is Bali's most fashionable unplugged bar that comprises live bands at center stage.

The Jaya Pub- This is an old favorite hang outs of tourists and locals. The live bands here are often joined by both professional and amateur visiting musicians. It is open till early in the morning 2 am.

Q Bar- This is Bali's premier gay location, a stylish and quirky place to relax. The restaurant here serves light foods, huge cocktails, fashion shows, theme parties and guest DJs.

Bali Peanuts Club- The most popular venue in the Kuta area for the young people. It offers very reasonably priced drinks.

The Nights of the Garden city

As the night falls, the whole city of Singapore transforms into a bustling network of nightclubs and bars. The sound of jazz changes the whole atmosphere. After hours, Singapore practically transforms itself from an ever-so-efficient business hub to a buzzing network of bars and nightclubs. Busy executives loosen their ties and kick up their heels to the sound of jazz swinging
it at Harry's Bar along Boat Quay, and earnest students-by-day let down their hair for some laid-back bar-hopping at famous Mohammed Sultan Road.
Clubbing in Singapore is very important to know the pulse of the city. Singapore is a hot spot for all party goers.

The mood in Boat Quay and Clarke Quay are slightly laid-back and the crowd is a mixture of Expats and locals. Customers of these restaurants as well as pubs are usually serious party-goers, but people just out for a pint after work, couples chatting over a leisurely dinner, and tourists also patronize them.

In the past ten years or so, bars and nightclubs have flourished in a big way in the Lion City. Long labeled as one of the over protected nanny states
whose well-behaved inhabitants just don't know how to have fun, partying the night away has become a norm. Many of the bars and clubs have taken on a unique Singaporean or Southeast Asian quality; you'll find renovated Chinese godowns pumping out rap or retro, fashionable bars of glass-and-chrome exteriors and Buddhist temple
style interiors, celebrated drinking dens that will bring back to
you the days of the Raj.

Singapore these days has a made a name for being safe and strict with law-abiding citizens and these things are true but that doesn´t mean people don´t like to party here, even before the ban on bar-top dancing was lifted!

Hong Kong Hurrahs!

Come evening and Hong Kong wears a totally new look. Tourists, after a extensive day of sightseeing, shopping and other activities, head towards the dazzling mesh of pubs, casinos, karaoke, bars and nightclubs. Residents get rid of the yoke of the day and set aside the night for partying. Night Park in Tsim Sha Tsui is well known for its elegant look.

Hong Kong's fun night areas can be divided into three main areas - Wan Chai which has Hong Kong's oldest pubs, Lan Kwai Fong known as Hong Kong's party central, Knutsford Terrace - the place where the locals and expats mix.

Wan Chai's streets can be securely booked under the charges of hedonism and have been the wreck of many a fine man. The locale has had a name for naughtiness since the 1940s. However, it was only after World War II when American soldiers on leave from the Korean and Vietnam Wars came down to Hong Kong that the notorious girlie bars and nightclubs sprang up around the streets of Lockhart Road and the place truly made its reputation.

Modern-day Wan Chai is somewhat tamed since its earlier wild days but nevertheless the area retains a far more down to earth feel to it than Lan Kwai Fong and with quite a few girlie bars still available, the sleaziness has not entirely gone. The area houses a number of British-style pubs, and bars, which are patronized by a more sober drinking crowd of expats than Lan Kwai Fong. Bars here close when you leave, with most serving 24 hours a day.

Lan Kwai Fong has become the home of the Hong Kong party and is a den of streets packed with bars, clubs and restaurants. The weekend crowd bulges with expats and tourists spilling out onto the surrounding streets with an irresistible buzz. Nightly fun carries on well into the morning.

Some essential spots to check out are Dublin Jack, a sleek Irish pub in which the owner knows his patrons by name; Hong Kong Brewhouse features some of the best local brews; Drop features a financially solvent crowd; while Stormies is the focal point for drunken antics. If it's clubbing you're after, Lan Kwai Fong hosts the city's best.

Goan Reverie

Though, Nightlife is not so popular in India, it is very much accepted in Goa, which bears much of the Portuguese culture and tradition. One time Portuguese Colony, Goa is the best place in India to visit, if you love to fun & frolic throughout the day and the night. Nightlife in Goa is exciting and there are many ways to spark up the evening.
Goans enjoy going out and it is not unusual to find families out for a night of merriment. In certain areas, almost every third house has a bar-cum-restaurant. The atmosphere is great - totally relaxing and extremely conducive to an enjoyable night out with friends and family.

Most of the places serve exquisite seafood and other Goan delicacies and have well stocked bars. One can start the day with the breakfast in a shack then splash in the waters the whole day or just laze on the beach and return to one's hotel late in the evening. Some shacks are well equipped with beach beds, beach chairs, beach umbrellas, masseurs, etc. These places also provide some information about the happenings around the locality. Though alcohol is easily available in Goa, which is a liberal state, there are strict laws against drunken driving, taking drugs, etc. But with world famous seafood, music and a local alcoholic drink, Fenny, whose fame has crossed all borders, Goa remains one of a kind of place where tired souls often come to drown in the music and dance their worries away.

In south Goa, nightclubs are mainly limited to the five-star resort hotels, almost all of which have their own discos, bars and sometimes gaming rooms. As you'd expect, these are mostly patronized by hotel guests - wealthy Indian and foreign tourists - but they're open to any reasonably dressed guest. The Leela Palace and Holiday Inn Resort in Mobor, and the Goa Renaissance Resort and Club Mahindra in Varca are worth checking out, if you're staying nearby.

But, if you are in the mood to dance to the tempo of the ocean, get together with your group of friends, some food and drink and hit the beach. No doubt, you will surely have a special night with the shimmering sand, the soothing moon and the bracing waves! Let the magic take over you!

Tokyo Nights

The Japanese are a hard working people who party even harder. It is absolutely not surprising that nightlife in Tokyo, which is the capital of Japan, is so lively and thriving. Nightlife in Japan and especially in Tokyo provides you vast range of options with regard to the places that can be visited for drinks and dancing after a grueling work. Tokyo nightlife offers you numerous drinking spots, the majority being concentrated in the Ginza, Akasaka , Shinjuku and Roppongi districts of the city. Tokyo is one of those cities that seem to be incapable of sleep and the Tokyo night clubs guarantee that whether it’s five in the evening, ten at night or five in the morning you’ll always have one open for you. Amongst the Tokyo pubs, you may enjoy the Bar Milwaukee with a very English look and feel and Hobgoblin or the Mogambo with its ethnic African décor. Another good place to stop by is the Charleston and Son's for a memorable night out in the city.
Night clubs in Japan are never hard to find. In fact, in Tokyo, night clubs come a dime a dozen and you are largely spoilt for choice from the La Fabrique, Seventh Haven, Ageha Dance Club, or the Watami. Try out the bar Ambrose for a speedy picks me up after work. There are quite a few western-styled Japanese night clubs which are highly favored by the tourists as well as the traditional nomi-ya for those who would desire to spend the evening the way the locals do.

Nightlife in Japan is not limited to only the bars. In Tokyo, there is a nightspot in more or less every corner of the city. Nightlife in Tokyo still mainly being a man’s world, also consists of geisha bars and hostess bars, both of which cater to a select rich clientele. In the geisha bars you have "geisha" girls who will entertain you with music, song and dance and also play some musical devices for you. At the hostess bars there are women who sit with customers over a few odd drinks and lend a receptive ear to all your anguishes. Sounding alien? Of course, they are! But this kind of a Japanese nightlife is not for a foreigner except of course, if he is initiated by a patron.

Bahamian Rhythms

In the Out Islands, an "early to bed, up with the roosters" way of life binds nightlife to the lounges of resorts and some bars where the neighboring reggae band or a rake-and-scrape band is belting out—apart from when special occasions are listed, when unmixed joy may break free, such as Junkanoo. The easiest means to locate the neighborhood action, since it's random (and often impulsive), is to ask the staff at your hotel for insider help.

The whole situation changes in Nassau and Paradise Island. There, your choices are virtually endless; neighborhood pubs and music, international floor shows, casinos, clubs, or stylish piano bars and cigar lounges: Club Waterloo does its best to make spring break last 365 days a year. Cabarets at the larger establishments on Cable Beach and Paradise Island frequently put up performers like Leann Rimes and the Beach Boys. And there's constant music and excitement at Atlantis, its most current feature being the Aura nightclub, attained by a two-story blue-glass imposing staircase.

When you are feeling like going for a unusual after-dinner experience, go straight to Graycliff, on West Hill Street, for a glass of cognac in the stylish lounge, along with an award-winning cigar rolled on site by a talented team of Cubans. If you want to omit the cigar and just enjoy a quiet mojito or aged rum with some lilting music in the background, move to the piano lounge of Café Martinique, in the Marina Village. One of the most engaging bars is the novel Sea Glass Lounge at The Cove on Paradise Island, which actually lives up to its name amid floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and a porch looking out on the ocean. Whether you have an opportunity to indulge in the sparkle and glamour of the magnificent casinos and dance joints, or purely want to taste a first-class local cocktail drink, there are plenty of choices in the Bahamas, relying on your ultimate destination.
And for those who want it more memorable, more romantic, nothing beats a moonlight stroll on the beach!

Nights on Paris

Paris is known as a romantic getaway. Most people fondly call it "the City of Love". At night, Paris gleams in the radiant lights of the many landmarks reflected on the River Seine. Paris has a dazzling nightlife. Two areas of Paris, which have quite a few swinging nightclubs and bars, are the Latin Quarter and the Bastille. Trend-setting is a regular pastime for young club-goers along Rue Oberkampf, and the Bastille area courts people intent on an evening of fun. The Latin Quarter has a cluster of bars, which are generally thronged by party goers in their 20s and 30s. The most popular of these bars is the Bar Ambiance Latino. The Bastille is the same location where the French revolutionaries rallied to start the French Revolution. But, now this is a happening nightspot of Paris. Another much loved amusement that Paris is known for are its cabarets.
Not only is Paris the city of light, but of sound, music, dance, and revelry. In fact, almost any big-city amusement you could think of is available in France’s capital. Easy going bar-cafes, modern dance clubs, and melodious jazz hang outs fit your frame of mind like a well-worn glove, promising good times in any form. Cabaret places carry a dose of high-voltage entertainment, and pubs prove to be more than just the realm of the British Isles. Liberal Paris also assures a load of nighttime opportunities for gay men and women, mostly in the Marais neighborhood. If money’s not a problem, the Champs-Elysées features plenty of high-priced watering holes and draws lots of tourists. Buddha Bar, with its signature Asian icon, is great for people-watching, and La Flèche d'Or boasts terrific live music and alternative ambience. If you simply want to dance, Paris’s best choice is Queen, in name only a gay venue but one of the city’s best (and most packed) places to groove and be beautiful, no matter your inclinations. Moulin Rouge, one of the world famous night clubs is located in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. At this popular cabaret, guests are treated to a colorful show of Cancan dance.
